Pai-Lin Young, Piano Instructor

Ms. Young is a professional pianist and teacher, obtained Master of Arts in Music degree in music education, and Bachelor of Music degree in piano performance in USA. She studied piano performance under the world-renowned master pianist Mack McCray at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.

Ms. Young is a patient, caring and open-minded teacher with over 20 years of teaching experience. She always works along with students and parents very well like friends. She is very skillful and creative in teaching to help students to develop their musical talents, understand about music, enjoy piano playing, and have positive personality grow as well.

Students who are ready will recommend them to participate in recitals and evaluation programs but not pushing them. Depend on individual student’s condition to make recommendations. The most important is to help and inspire students to keep interested in playing and improve in a quick way on their own pace.

Over the years, many students have achieved Certificate of Merits evaluation in different levels, and some even received the State of Honor Award, and Senior Award.

Ms. Young speaks English and Mandarin fluently. Currently, she is a pianist, teacher,  music composer, and is a member of Music Teachers Association of California.

  • Served as chairperson of the Certificate of Merit (CM Evaluation) at Santa Clara Branch, Music Teachers Association of California
  • Served as chairperson of the CMTANC International Youth Music Competition and Festival
  • Served as chairperson of the Board of Directors and president of Chinese Music Teachers Association of Northern California
  • Worked as teaching assistant at music department, San Francisco State University
  • Worked as concert manager at Youngstars Music Company.
  • Worked as music and advertising director at Silicon Valley Chinese Media, Inc.
